With a renowned track record in and deep knowledge of Australian CBD office markets in the core-plus and value-add sectors, we currently have a large and diversified wholly-owned investment portfolio of assets in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Canberra and Auckland. GE Capital Real Estate has been one of the most active buyers and sellers of Australian office properties since 2006. Most assets were secured off-market including multiple portfolio transactions with the largest being nearly $0.5bn in 2006. This success reflects the experience and on-the-ground expertise of local Originations, Risk Management and Asset Management teams, backed by the global resources of GE Capital.
Following significant sales in the last few years, the directly owned portfolio is now approximately 40 assets, which are managed from Sydney by an experienced and respected asset management team.
With deep relationships and access across all parts of the direct property spectrum, including finance customers, tenants, brokers, developers, builders and private owners, GE Capital Real Estate Australia is well-placed to continue capitalizing on market opportunities in the years ahead.
