GE Capital Real Estate Further Expands Global Investment Team

Adds two senior positions to investor relations

NORWALK, CONN., October 2009 – GE Capital Real Estate has expanded its Global Investment Management team with the appointment of Greg O'Stean as global chief investor relations officer and Alex Sieber as managing director, Investor Relations Americas.

O’Stean will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of GE Capital Real Estate’s global fundraising and investor relations strategy.  Sieber will lead the Americas’ IR team, driving the investor relations strategy regionally, raising capital and building investor relations. 

“Greg and Alex both have impressive track records within GE and we are looking forward to leveraging their talents to further build our investor relations capabilities,” said Joseph Parsons, president and CEO of GE Capital Real Estate Global Investment Management.  “We have been actively staffing key roles within our organization as we continue to position Global Investment Management for growth.”

O'Stean joins from GE Capital Real Estate North America Lending where, from 2007 to 2009, he was managing director of the specialized industry group and led the team to record growth. 

With GE since 2004, O’Stean has held senior leadership roles with GE Capital as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts.   He holds an MBA and a Bachelor's in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Sieber was previously managing director of GE Capital Real Estate’s Business Property-Canada platform, where he grew the business from start up.  He has been with GE since 2000 and held progressive sales and business development leadership roles within GE Capital-Canada prior to joining GE Capital Real Estate. 

In 2008, Institutional Investor magazine named Sieber one of the "20 Global Rising Stars in Real Estate".  He holds a License in Finance from the University St. Gallen in Switzerland, a Bachelor's in Finance from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (Montreal, Canada) and a Bachelor's in Law degree from Université de Montreal.
