Jason Kougellis
Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand
Jason is currently the Managing Director of Australia & New Zealand for GE Capital Real Estate. In this role Jason is responsible for over US$2BN of real estate investments across Australia including assets in Auckland, NZ.
Jason joined GE Capital Real Estate in December 1999 as Asset Manager for debt and equity. In 2004 Jason transitioned across to an originations role and in X 200X was promoted to Director of Australian Investments. In 2006 Jason originated over $1.5BN of direct real estate investment across Australia and Singapore.
Prior to GE, Jason was involved in property funds management and investment working at Greg Paramor’s, Paladin Funds Management as Asset Manager in the listed, Paladin Industrial Trust (PID). Previous roles included GIO Asset Management where he was an asset manager and research analyst in the property business.
Jason’s first job in the property industry was in 1992 where he joined the Commonwealth Bank Property Department as a property valuer. Jason is a fully qualified property valuer with the REI of Australia and is a member of the Australian Property Institute.
Jason was born in Sydney, Australia. He attended the University of Technology, Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Property Economics in 1995.
Jason lives on Sydney’s northern beaches and enjoys all sport including track, rugby, and tennis.
