(ADPnews) – Aug 10, 2009 – International air-conditioning supplier Eurofred rented 65,000 sq m (700,000 sq ft) in CentralLogics park, owned by US company GE Real Estate in Spain's northern region of Catalonia, local daily Expansion said.
The deal is a sign of recovery for the real estate business since only 55,000 sq m of logistics parks space has been rented in Catalonia for 2009, Expansion said.
CentralLogics' rent stands at EUR 3.9 (USD 5.5) a sq m, but the price has been lowered, Expansion said. Eurofred will enter the logistics park in January 2010.
CentralLogics with an area of 111,323 sq m is valued at EUR 1.1 million.
Eurofred is an air-conditioning systems distributor employing 857. It posted a turnover of EUR 370 million in 2008.
