GE Capital Real Estate has been active in Italy since 2002 with a current portfolio of €1.4 billion.
The team is composed of 15 people based in Milan, all real estate professionals, with local market knowledge, who focus on all aspects of a real estate transaction : acquisition, risk, asset management, property management, engineering, sales, as well as the purchase and management on Non-Performing Loan portfolios (NPLs) backed by real estate assets.

GE Capital Real Estate Italy's investment strategy focuses on a philosophy guided by market opportunities. Since the inception of the business, the investment strategy has been focused on 4 areas of activity: the acquisition of real estate portfolios on our own account, such as the assets of Banca Antonveneta and the acquisition of office buildings in Parco dei Medici in Rome and in Milan; through joint venture partnerships, such as the Petrarca fund; through the acquisition of single assets such as the Melilli Shopping Centre in Sicily; and finally the acquisition of Non Performing Loan portfolios in JV partnerships, most recently with ABN Amro and Pirelli. We continue to focus on office, retail and logistic assets, located throughout Italy.
We are very proud to have witnessed significant growth in our business over the last few years and we plan to continue to grow the business throughout the country and to remain a major player in the Italian real estate sector in the years to come.
