President FranceXabier Barrondo was appointed President of GE Capital Real Estate France in February 2011. While Xabier is now 100% focused on the French Platform he used to also be in charge of Western Europe, managing three countries (France, Italy and Spain).
xabier.barrondo@ge.comPrior to this role, Xabier was Managing Director of the Iberian platform and achieved a tremendous growth of the Spanish portfolio (€813MM - 611,000 sqm in assets in 2010).
Before joining GE in 2005, Xabier was working for Metrovacesa as Commercial Investment Director and as Managing Director of CCM (a Company in charge of the Asset Management of shopping centers).
In his previous experience Xabier was always dedicated to the Shopping Center business where he spent 6 years both in the project design phase and the Asset Management one.
Xabier holds a MBA from Instituto de Empresa of Madrid and is Forest Engineer graduated from the University Polytechnic of Madrid.

HR ManagerBenoit joined as the HR Manager France, Italy and Spain on November 28, 2011. Benoit has been with GE for 7 years. He started his career as HR Specialist for the Consumer Finance Business.

Finance DirectorEffective May 1, Mathieu was appointed CFO for France, Italy, and Spain, reporting to Xabier Barrondo. Mathieu joined from his recent role of Chief Financial Officer for Central & Eastern Europe.
mathieu.cuvillier@ge.comHe began his GE career in 1998 and in 13 years, he has held various finance and Leadership positions within our global Real Estate business such as Chief Accountant (France), Controller (UK), Oracle Functional Leader and FP&A Mgr. (USA). Prior to joining GE, Mathieu worked for Arthur Andersen and Caledonian Investment Bank. Mathieu holds a Master's degree in Finance and Accounting (DESCF) from ICS (Paris).

Strategic Ventures DirectorFrançois joined GE Real Estate in 2007 in the BD corporate team. He has been in charge of strategic ventures (JV and partnership) since October 2009 working on some structured transactions such as the Aéroports de Paris partnership and the Mercuriales JV.
francois.maillard@ge.comPrior to joining GE, François spent 3 years with McKinsey and Company and worked for 5 years in the Ministry of Justice focused on real estate (construction project management and € 3.5bn strategic investment planning, aiming at modernizing French jail system). François holds a degree from Ecole Polytechnique (applied Mathematics & Physics), from the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées (civil engineering), and the Collège des ingénieurs (management).

Risk DirectorWalid joined GE Real Estate France in May 2010 as Risk Director. In this role, Walid is responsible for the underwriting and the internal approval process and oversees portfolio valuation and performance. Prior to this, Walid has been the Regional Head of Risk and Asset Management of GE Real Estate Central and Eastern Europe since 2003, based in Prague and covered six different markets (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey).
walid.mnif@ge.comWalid was also the Investment Manager for Central and Southern Europe between 2001 and 2003, where he was in charge of the closing process including due diligence coordination and deal negotiations. Walid joined GE Real Estate in 1998 as part of the European Valuation team based in Paris and worked on various transactions across Europe, mostly in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, UK and Portugal. Walid holds a degree from HEC business school as well as a master in Applied Mathematics from Paris Jussieu University.

Asset Management LeaderRecently appointed as Head of Asset Management for GE Capital Real Estate France, Jean-Philippe has had a significant tract record in Asset Management.
jean-philippe.gaudin@ge.comJean-Philippe began his career within GE in 2004 as head of Reporting in Asset Management, in charge of a portfolio of €4 bn. He was later promoted in 2007 as Asset Management Team Leader responsible for asset valuation strategies and Asset Management activities with his team for Sales and Leasing. In March 2011 Jean-Philippe became Commercial Director and Leasing Manager responsible for leasing and marketing of main vacant assets.
Jean-Philippe holds a Masters in Business Administration, and is graduated form the IAE, University of Nantes.

General CounselGéraldine Le Maire joined GE Real Estate France at the end of October 2008 as the General Counsel. She was previously the Legal Director for Corporate law and Securities law at Thomson, a company listed on Euronext Paris and the New York Stock Exchange and which she joined in 2004.
geraldine.lemaire@ge.comFrom 1997 to 2004, Géraldine Le Maire worked at Archon Group France, a subsidiary of the Goldman Sachs Group specialized in real estate management where she was Vice-President Corporate Legal and Compliance Officer initially in charge of France, then Europe. Géraldine practised at a firm of solicitors before joining the Archon Group. Géraldine holds a CAPA, a DJCE and a DESS in Business law and an L.L.M. in International affairs from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
